Guests looking for a more private experience can book “The Menhaden’s Exclusive Macari Private Tour and Tasting” add-on experience. Available weekdays between 11am and 3pm or on weekends from 11am to 12pm, the private tour and tasting is exclusive to guests of The Menhaden and includes a private educational tour of the vineyard and cellar at Macari Vineyards in Mattituck. During the tour, guests learn about the Macari family’s holistic farming practices while exploring the property with a WSET-certified Wine Educator. Property sightseeing guarantees pastoral views of the family’s cattle and breathtaking scenery of the Long Island Sound from the vineyard’s edge. A guided tasting follows the tour and features five premium wines, thoughtfully paired with a selection of cheese, charcuterie, and gourmet sandwiches in the winery’s wood-beamed subterranean barrel cellar. This add-on experience is priced at $250 per person. Hotel guests booking the package will also receive a complimentary, in-room bottle of Macari wine and late check-out.
