The Menhaden is the North Fork’s only boutique hotel with a rooftop bar, located on our exclusive roof deck that sweeps over expansive views of Greenport Harbor, Shelter Island, the North Ferry, and exquisite sunsets. Slow down and savor the moment at our bar, fire pits, and lounge seating – the front-row to stunning views and cozy vibes, in one of Greenport’s most sought-after spots.
The General Store, located off our lobby, offers the perfect spot to grab your morning coffee and a croissant. Order a pick-me-up at For Five coffee and pick up gourmet snacks and provisions, be it for a quick snack or your afternoon picnic. Or better yet, ask our concierge to have a picnic ready for the road.
Each floor has a galley stocked with local items and are complimentary (don’t forget to peek in the freezer for some Häagen-Dazs). In the mornings, enjoy fresh baked goods. In the afternoon, be on the lookout for curated snacks. Most importantly, be sure to check back in the evening for a special treat!
Allow us to transport you in the Menhaden Moke, our custom, eco-friendly, and electric-powered car that whisks you away to a picturesque picnic or a mesmerizing sunset on the pristine shores of Long Island beaches. Our Moke is complimentary for our guests and a favorite mode of transportation for our bespoke experiences. Please contact our Front Desk for availability.
Use one of our complimentary bikes to explore Greenport Village and the surrounding area, where there are countless backroads to cycle and corners to explore. Or leave the navigation to us and ask your Menhaden concierge to curate a custom bike tour to suit your personal style.

We have available beach vehicle passes, beach chairs, coolers, beach bags, beach umbrellas, and beach towels, at no additional cost. (They are first come, first serve, though!). And if you’re after something extra special, ask us about a beach picnic, a cruise to Sunset Beach, and our curated collection of dog-friendly area beaches.
We offer complimentary on-site parking (upon availability). However, we’re also located within walking distance from the Long Island Railroad and Hampton Jitney stop.
